NETABSE Scholarship Requirements

Application Deadline Date May 4th

The NETABSE scholarship is awarded to a high school senior graduating in spring 2020 or awarded to a Teacher Aid wanting to pursue a degree in education from either Arkansas High, Liberty-Eylau High, Pleasant Grove High, or Texas High Schools.

High school student will be considered based on the following:

  • Highest of Class Rank or ACT/SAT score
  • GPA
  • Residency
  • Essay
  • Career Choice
  • First Generation
  • Need-Based (Proposed)

Teacher Aid to be considered on the following:

  • Be employed with the district for more than 1 year
  • Have a recommendation from a supervisor
  • Apply for PELL grant and use these funds First- (if they qualify)
  • Submit a one-page essay stating why they want to teach
  • Maintain at least a B average

  • NETABSE is focused on providing quality educators and educational opportunities to minority students in our area. This scholarship has been developed to help provide an opportunity for a minority student to attend an institution of higher education.

    Please write an essay of no more than 750 typed words, while addressing these 3 components:

    • How will these funds be beneficial to you?
    • What is your career plan for the future?
    • Who has been influential in your life and how?
  • Accepted file types: pdf, doc, docx, txt.
