BUDGET AND BYLAWS COMMITTEES:

The budget committee responsibilities are to; develop an operating budget, monitor the budget and set long-range financial goals. The bylaws committee is responsible for reviewing and recommending revision to the chapter’s bylaws and preparing amendments for the Bylaws of the Chapter.           

FUNDRAISING, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND HONORS & AWARDS COMMITTEES:

The fundraising committee is responsible for raising funds needed to meet the proposed budget. The community engagement committee will plan and host social activities for the chapter and acknowledge birthdays and other special events. Members are responsible for planning mixers for the end of the year, New Years, and membership. Members are also in charge of representing the organization at other community events. The honors and awards committee is responsible for developing and implementing a Teacher of the Year Award Recognition for the City of Texarkana.

CONFERENCE PLANNING AND PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE:

Expectation of all members is to participate in the work of the committee. Sub committees, General Session Speaker, T-Shirts and give-a-way, informational sessions, location and media, materials for packets, assembling packets, student names, transportation, awards for speakers, Master schedule and letters, Student lunches, student breakfast, conference booklets.

MEMBERSHIP AND NEWSLETTER PRODUCTION COMMITTEE:

The committee is responsible for recruiting new members.  The Committee will also develop and issue an electronic newsletter at least three times a year (winter, summer, and fall as appropriate) to be distributed to NETASBE members and other selected individual and groups.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE:

The committee is to develop, review and select scholarship recipients based upon the criteria develop with the executive board. Locate students that meet the criteria and assure that they complete applications for scholarships and college admission.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND WEBSITE COMMITTEE:

The Committee is responsible for using social media as a means to connect and engage members, grow membership base. The committee is responsible for creating a forum where members can regularly connect and interact on Social networks, ultimately raising the profile of NETABSE using social media to market events and membership.  Types – Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In, YouTube, Google+ etc.  The committee also is responsible for posting information on the website such as meeting dates and changes, meeting minutes, pictures, education news including employment openings of the various school districts that are members of the group.
